Fall is so beautiful in Cherokee County. There are so many things to do and see. Wouldn't it be horrible to be laid up with pain when you could be enjoying all that Georgia has to offer? I sincerely hope that you can!
Recently I was able to attend a seminar on laser therapy presented by Ronald Riegel DVM. He has been leader in the science and application of laser therapy for 30 years. He discussed the evolution of laser therapy over his career. I was amazed that most of what we know about laser therapy; the application, dosage, and treatment has only recently been proven scientifically. Until around 2012, we only knew about the benefits of lasers but couldn't come to a conclusion about how to effectively deliver a treatment. Now we know without a doubt how laser treatment works to increase the speed at which your body recovers.
As I stated in my last update, effective results has so much to do with the dose of energy delivered. Without a doubt we know that the lasers are effective. It is only a matter of how long it takes for your body to use that energy to heal.
If you're reading this and you haven't called the office for an appointment to see if laser therapy will work for you then I encourage you to call today for a visit.
I wanted to update all new and soon to be new clients on the updates since finalizing our treatment protocols. We spent most of last year perfecting our treatment technique. We finally rolled out the latest treatment protocols back in January with phenomenal results. We found that longer treatment times had the best clinical outcomes and the shortest path to recovery. We have been able to treat everything from lower back pain to nerve pain in the feet. Best of all people are responding fast! So encouraging news there.
Now the bad news! The flip side is that we found that while the tissue was healing very well; if it was getting re-injured due to repetitive stress then it didn't matter how much laser treatment was healing. So bad news for everyone wanting to get a quick and easy fix. Good news for the chiropractor though because we have been addressing the repetitive stress with positive initial results.
Keep checking in for updates and hopefully the new facebook page will be ready soon.
2016 was the first year for Cherokee Laser Therapy. We saw many people benefit from the laser treatments. Diabetic neuropathy improved. Knee pain went away. Chronic pains disappeared. No, Jesus didn't return-healing the sick! It was the simple and highly effective use of light to support the body's natural healing systems.
2017 looks to be an outstanding year. I have updated the pricing structure for therapy to allow for easier access to care. If you want to know more about the affordable packages available you can look here on the website, but I can provide more information in person.
My goal for 2017 is to connect with a medical doctor or physical therapist who would like to find out more about how we can help their practice. Many people need surgery but won't be able to due to complications. So they are left without any treatment options for their area of pain. Other people would simply like to avoid taking pain medications but don't have a good option for controlling pain naturally. Laser therapy is an ideal fit for both situations.
Good luck with your painful issues. I hope I can help you ASAP.
This past month has been exciting for the practice as we have started care on a few individuals with stenosis. If you are not familiar with stenosis, thank God that you don't know more! It is a debilitating condition in the lower back. Most people who have it complain about never being in a comfortable position. They often can not function on their feet and they are constantly in some form of pain from their lower back or their legs.
Ok it's bad but what is it? Well, normally we have plenty of space in our vertebral canal to accommodate the spinal cord. With stenosis, we lose the extra space surrounding our spinal cord and lumbar nerves. The result is that no matter which position you are in; there is always pressure on your nerves.
So with these new clients coming on board I am hoping to give you some great testimonials regarding their cases. As of now the results are promising, but only time will tell what happens.
How can lasers help with stenosis? As I've said before, laser therapy helps speed up the recovery process. The body has the capacity to heal every disease known to man.....but it often runs out of time to do so. Laser therapy will give the body the speed or time that it needs to heal itself, naturally! (Come see me for a more specific explanation). Thanks I hope to see you all soon.
Hello everyone. I wanted to give a quick update on the results we're seeing so far in practice. This past week has shown some people get amazing results. I've had one patient who has needed knee surgery for a while but can't have surgery for a number of factors. So, what is she left to do? Just suffer? No, luckily a friend referred her in for a consult and some treatment. She said after a few visits that her knee pain is SOOO MUCH BETTER and that she can manage her life again.
Another update I've been telling everyone about is the results I've seen with family. About a month ago my parents came in town to visit (the grand-kids). While they were in I was able to treat my dad. He has diabetic neuropathy and hasn't been able to feel his feet for some time now. We treated him multiple times a day for about 4 days. After the third day he wanted to take a walk ( this never happens fyi). He was saying then how much better his feet felt. Fast forward to this past week. I called my dad to check in with them and Dad tells me that he still is feeling better with his feet. He gets in the pool for his pool exercises and he can feel the cool water. He gets in the hot tub to relax and he can feel the heat. I haven't heard him this excited since he found out he was gonna be a grandpa!
So what are you waiting for? Come see how we can help you get over a nagging injury or pain.
